Bordeaux is home to some of the most distinguished châteaux in the world of wine. Their exceptional terroir and superlative wines have long reigned as some of the most sought after and investment worthy. From its most northern appellation of St. Estèphe, down through Pauillac, St. Julien, Margaux, Pessac-Léognan and east to Pomerol and St. Emilion, its gilded soils have produced wines that have amazed kings and dignitaries alike as well as collectors and aficionados. Wine critic extraordinaire, Robert Parker, has held court over their wine reviews and scores of this noble region since 1982, when he declared the vintage a true success, the only critic at the time to do so.
