In 2002, after years of research, Carlo Ferrini identified a portion of vineyard in the precious land of Brunello in Sant’Angelo in Colle, not far from the evocative monastic complex of Sant’Antimo. Today, there are six hectares of vineyards (3 hectares of Brunello), divided into six plots, which Ferrini has exclusively planted with selected clones of Sangiovese. The debut of Brunello di Montalcino Giodo, named as a tribute to the parents Giovanna and Donatello, was in 2009. The wines reflect the passion of their creator, who is supported in the business by his daughter Bianca.
