In 1901, Gaspare Parusso, great-grandfather of Marco and Tiziana Parusso, acquired the first vineyard in the Mariondino locality, in Castiglione Falletto. In 2021, the company celebrated its 50th anniversary since the production of the first Barolo label by the founder, Armando Parusso. In agronomic management, alongside more traditional techniques, they have developed the technique of micro-zoning of soils, identifying the main soil types and customizing cultivation, fertilization, and pruning.
Between the rows, they allow natural cover with selected herbs to stimulate the plants to develop a deep root system, ensuring healthier, more responsive, stable vines with less dependence on climate changes. The work in the vineyards aims to ensure the plant a natural and longer life cycle to obtain grapes that are unstressed and of high quality. Harvesting, strictly done by hand, is carried out as late as possible to obtain very ripe grapes, a fundamental basis of their style.
