The Giavi farm owes its name to Francesco Giavi, who in the early 1900s purchased the prestigious estate located at the gates of Conegliano from the Tezza family. Agricultural traditions have been passionately passed down from generation to generation. Since 2015, the company has been led by the Moscheta family, represented by Elena and Enrico, who have continued to develop the estate significantly. The vineyards on the picturesque Monticella hill, which has inspired many artists over the centuries, overlook the city of Conegliano, in the heart of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG designation. Thanks to its perfect exposure and clay-limestone soil, the hill has always been a place well-suited to viticulture. Giavi’s production focuses on Prosecco DOCG Conegliano Valdobbiadene, favoring a dry style and a long second fermentation to create elegant and complex sparkling wines with very fine bubbles, capable of expressing the terroir from which they come. In particular, the Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG Rive di Ogliano Extra Brut, sourced from vineyards on steep morainic hills, is an expression of this unique and complex terroir.
