From over 850,000 hectares of vines and over 300 appellations, it produces between 7-8 billion bottles of wine, making it one of the top two wine producing countries in terms of quantity (it competes with Italy depending on the year). From cool climate, crisp Champagnes to refined, ethereal Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays of Burgundy, from aristocratic Bordeaux to robust southern French blends, there is truly something for everyone.
